In October, 12 PBL members went to Heinz Field to be trained as Landmark Event Staff. While there, we sat through an hour long presentation on how to conduct ourselves while in uniform and what to do when certain situations occur. After being taught the basics of each position, we went on a short tour of the stadium while the coordinator told us the importance of each location. After the tour, we were dismissed to go home. Having gone through that training, the 12 of us are now cleared to work as a Landmark Event Staff Member. We will be working at the Steelers games on 11/14 vs. the Patriots, 12/12 vs. the Bengals, and also the Winter Classic, which features the Penguins vs. the Capitals on New Year’s Day. This is an exciting opportunity for Phi Beta Lambda to fundraise not just this semester but in the future as well. I would personally like to thank the other 11 members who have donated their time to help make this a possibility: Andrew Green, Ben Grabowski, Branden Karnell, Colin Bernatt, Colin Conner, Jana Rininger, Jimmy Machin, Paul Mason, Robbie Simcik, Sarah Mauer, and Sean Christian. Thank you all for your time and effort!
